Summary

As a Data Engineer at TCS, you'll be responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from designing and building scalable data pipelines to ensuring data quality and accessibility. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Utilize big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) to build and manage data infrastructure.
Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines to ensure efficiency and scalability.
Implement data quality checks and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Document data pipelines and processes for clear communication and future maintenance.
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering field.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role (for experienced professionals).
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases (e.g., SQL).
Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
